Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali called for promoting Bengali language and literature among children and young learners.
He said this while speaking at the concluding ceremony of a week-long book fair organised by Bengal Association, New Delhi on Kali Mandir premises, Delhi on Sunday, according to a message received here.
The High Commissioner underlined the need for translation of foreign language books into Bangali to further enrich Bengali literature and culture.
He said Bengali should also be a language of computer in this digital age.
He said Bangladesh government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing various programmes on computer literacy and digital learning.
