Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam said that the government took various steps to develop and popularise science and technology sector in order to promote research activities.
The minister also stressed the need for carrying pout more research in the sector and urged the students and the young generation to give more attention to research activities side by side with their academic activities.
Syed Ashraf said this on Thursday while inaugurating a two-day divisional “Science and Technology Fair” on the premises of Anandamohan Government College in Mymensingh as the chief guest.
Divisional Commissioner GM Saleh Uddin presided over the function. It was addressed, among others, by Nazim Uddin Ahamed MP, Pro VC of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Prof. Dr. Jasim Uddin, president of the district Awami League Advocate Zahirul Haque and president of the district Chhatra League Raqibul Islam.
Deputy Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman gave welcome addressed.
