Medicare services are being hampered largely as 16 community clinics have become vulnerable in Sakhipur Upazila under Tangail district at present. Sources said, there are 37 community clinics in Sakhipur Upazila. The clinics have been established in 1998. The clinics have been closed when BNP resumed in power in 2001. The government has started the clinics in 2009 when they voted to power. The clinics are being opened from 9 am to 3 pm and render services to the village people including pregnant women and neonatal and other patients. CHCP and CSBA employees of the clinics have been trained. They are trained in normal delivery of the pregnant women at the clinics.
