Importance should be given on ensuring maternal and child healthcare facilities especially in rural areas, prevention of early marriage and women empowerment, speakers at a day-long workshop said on Wednesday.
They viewed that media men can play a vital role for creating mass awareness about the issues.
They were addressing the workshop, organised by District Family Planning Department, for local journalists of print and electronic media at the conference room of Joypurhat Nursing Institution.
The speakers also emphasized on the need for concerted efforts of physicians .
