Call to implement dream of Bangabandhu

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin urged all to play responsible role to materialize the dreams of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in building ‘Sonar Bangla’.
“The nation was taken backward with the killing of Father of the Nation but her competent daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with her political sagacity and pragmatic vision is striving hard to march forward the county with mammoth developments ” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of Mujib Corner, online environmental clearance and renewal mobile apps and quarterly newsletter ‘Paribeshbarta’ at the Department of Environment here to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The environment minister said necessary arrangements should be made to facilitate all services online to the people easily.
‘Action will be taken against those who fail to take effective measures to prevent all kinds of environmental pollution in the country, he warned.
He said country’s environment must be preserved at any cost.
He further said that with setting up an aesthetic Bangabandhu Corner in the Department of Environment with the help of information based political and family photographs of Bangabandhu, the guests would get an opportunity to be inspired by the ideals and spirit of the Father of the Nation.
He said more than eight crore different sapling of trees have been planted across the country this year to commemorate all unique initiatives of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He added that such programmes will play a significant role in the development of the environment of the country.
Deputy Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Begum Habibun Nahar also spoke.
With Director General (DG) of the Department of Environment Dr A K M Rafique in the chair, Secretary of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ministry Ziaul Hasan, Additional Secretary (Environment) Mahmud Hossain and Deputy Director General of the Department Humayun Kabir also addressed on the occasion.
