Chairman of the Parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury MP said to honour the intellectuals and the philanthropists aimed at enlighten the society.
He disclosed it while addressing the inanuguration of the newly constructed building of Janata Sangha in Urkirchar Union of south Raozan at Urkirchar High school ground and opening of a number of development projects there.
He said those come forward for the welfare of the society are also the real intellectuals. It is bound for all to honour the intellectuals and the philanthropists , he added. Following the inaugurationof the new building of Janata sangha, he distributed the iftari items to the hapless of the society. Alhaj SM Yousuf presided the distribution function, our Raozan correspondent Mir Aslam sources said.
The special guest on the occasion Joint secretary of district Awami league Alhaj Abul Kalam Azad said ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury is relentlessly working for the development of the upazila and all irrespective of caste and creed urged to lend cooperation to the legislator. Vice chairman of Upazila Parishad Noor Mohammad and the Chairman of Urkirchar UP Abdul Jabbar Sohel spoke on the occasion.
In the function , two expatriates viz. Md. Yousuf and Md. Musa disclosed to donate Tk.40 lakh for the construction of school building and handed over cheque of the amount to the Member Parliament ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury, our correspondent said.
