Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Akhteruzzaman urged the electorates to help the pro-liberation forces win by defeating the anti-liberation forces in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The VC made this call recently while addressing a discussion as chair at Teachers-Students center (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Prof Akhterruzzaman said the young generation of the country is imbued with the spirit of the liberation war and fundamental philosophy of the martyrs and hence they would resist the anti-liberation clique.
Pro Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, Dhaka University Teachers Association Joint Secretary Prof Dr Tajin Azin Chowdhury, among others, were present.
sister of Shaheed Gias Uddin Ahmed Prof Sazeda Banu and leaders of Dhaka University Martyrs Family Association, Dhaka University Freedom Fighter Unit Command, Officers Association, DU Third Class Employees Association, Technical Employees Association and Fourth Class Employees Union spoke on the occasion with Acting Registrar M Enamuzzaman moderating it.
