Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the conspiracy of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to foil the next general election will be resisted.
At the same time, he said, bank money swindlers and corrupts should be punished in the New Year.
The Information Minister made the remarks on Monday at a function arranged at Jatiya Press Club in the city marking the 32nd founding anniversary of Jatiya Party (JP).
Chaired by JP Chairman and Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Manju, the function was addressed, among others, by JP General Secretary Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua and JP Additional Secretary General Sadek Siddiqui. Speaking on the occasion, Inu, also and JSD president, said the nation will face six challenges in the New Year, which include resisting Khaleda Zia’s conspiracy to foil the next election, holding the next general polls in time, and combating militancy and resisting Jamaat-Razakars and their collaborators.
