Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu called upon all to fight against militancy and communalism to protect the hard-earned democracy of the country. “We all have to work unitedly against fundamentalism and communalism for the betterment of the people as well as the country,” he said this on Thursday while addressing a review meeting on the progress of the short-term (100 days) programmes of the ministry at its conference room here.
The Minister emphasized the need for implementation of short-term programmes for achieving long and mid-term developments of the country.
“The way of development is a long-term process and there are so many turnings (barriers) in this process,” he said adding that these barriers should be identified first for removing it to achieve our development goals.
He also instructed the officials of the ministry as well as its departments, directorates or agencies to chalk out pro-people development programmes.
Information Secretary Mortoza Ahmed conducted the meeting where senior officials of the ministry and heads of all its departments and agencies were present.
