State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder on Monday called upon law enforcers to ensure overall security of the temple and its priests while visiting Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
“The government is determined to protect the country’s existing communal harmony at any cost as it taken all-out measures to curb all evil activities in creating instability in the country,” he told. Biren visited Ramakrishna Math in the wake of a threat to the principal of the temple recently.
He said the security measures have been strengthened at the temple and steps would be taken for the further development of the mission. Parliament member Pankaj Nath and Principal of the Math Swami Dhrubeshananda Moharaj were present on the occasion, among others.
