Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari asked all unit chiefs of the police for performing their duties efficiently and sincerely in achieving the goal of Annual Performance Agreement (APA).
“Transparency and accountability of Bangladesh Police would be ensured by implementing the APA. Overall, it will build a dynamic management,” he said this on Thursday after signing the APA with police unit chiefs at the Police Headquarters.
The IGP signed APA with all unit chiefs of Bangladesh Police for 2019-2020 fiscal.
He said, with achievement of APA targets, the government’s Seventh Fifth Year Plan, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Vision-2021 and 2041 implementation were closely related, adding, “Therefore achieving APA goals were very important for Bangladesh Police.”
Dr Javed directed each unit of the police to perform their duties with dedication to achieve the APA goals.
IGP Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari signed APA with heads of 29 units, including 15 units based in Dhaka and metropolitan areas and ranges in the field.
During the APA signing, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed, Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Asaduzzaman Miah, Additional IGP Dr M Mainur Rahman Chowdhury, Chief of Anti-Terrorism Unit Mohammad Abul Kashem, Chief of Special Branch (SB) Mir Shahidul Islam, CID Chief Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Additional IGP (Finance) Mohammad Shahab Uddin Qureshi, Additional IGP (HRM) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun and others spoke on the occasion.
Chiefs of all the units of police in Dhaka and senior officers of Police Headquarters were present on the occasion.
