Protest rallies and processions were held recently at CRB on the initiative of Nagorik Samaj Chittagong demanding protection of CRB and declaration of CRB as National Park in the name of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.
Speaking at the rally, Member Secretary of Nagorik Samaj Chittagong, Bir Muktijoddha Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul said, “No commercial hospital will be allowed in CRB.”
We want CRB to remain as it is and make CRB more environmentally friendly and declare a national park in the name of Bangamata. “We will fight this injustice not only on the ground but also in the legal field,” he warned.
Nagorik Samaj co-chairman Bir Muktijoddha Mohammad Yunus, Bir Muktijoddha Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, General Secretary of Chittagong South District Awami League Mofizur Rahman, Chittagong University teacher poet Hossain Kabir spoke among others on the occasion.
