Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party on Tuesday expressed concern over the price hike of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramzan.
In a joint statement, the party President Maulana Md. Abdur Raquib Advocate and Secretary General Maulana Md. Abdul Latif Nejami condemned the failure of the government in keeping the prices of essentials under control. They said that it was a clear indication that the government did not pay proper attention to this effect.
They demanded of the government to take a pragmatic policy to arrest the prevailing price spiral. They also demanded maintenance of the sanctity of Ramzan.
