Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said the trial of war criminals and confiscation of their property are not enough, they should also be treated as “class two” citizens.
“The offspring of war criminals would not also be allowed to get government jobs,” he said this on Saturday while speaking at a discussion on “Great Victory Day” at Parliament Members Club at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar organised by Muktijoddha Sanghoti Parishad.
Mozammel Haque said the relations of war criminals should be removed from this soil to pay respect to those who made supreme sacrifice during the country’s war of liberation.
He urged the freedom fighters to make their family members aware about struggle, the country’s history and tradition to create patriotism among the new generation.
With Chairman of the parishad Colonel (retd) Shwkat Ali in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by Dr Nujhat Chowdhury, Prof Nim Chandra Bhowmik and Secretary General of the parishad Abdus Samad Pintu.
