Call for removing obstacles in performing religious duty at Fellowship Church

Christian community leaders arranged a press conference on Wednesday noon at Barishal Reporters’ Unity called for removing obstacles in performing religious duty at Bairkathi Chandrakanta Memorial Church (Fellowship Church) at Daharpara under Guthia union of Wazirpur upazila of Barishal district.
Raju Parey, father of the church, reading written statement and other leaders of the community answering questions of the journalists said this church was established 73 years ago on June 8, 1947 and operating by a group of self sacrificed preachers on basis of the bridal, apostolic and prophetic approach of fellowship.
It now became the holy center of fellowship approach of the community and operated by the donation and regular subscription of one-tenth of income of the fellow followers. Followers of this church leads their activities restricted among their members on basis of the holistic instructions of Holy Bible by avoiding all kinds of drugs, narcotics, unholy intensions, evil and criminal activities, enmities. However since last few months a misleading group led by Milton, Liton, Asim, Timon.Dwejen, Martin Samaddar and their associates claiming themselves as members of the same community, giving lame excuses of performing religious duty freely as per their will assaulting the preachers verbally and physically to drive away them from the mission area.
The misleaded group destroying properties, creating chaos in the church compound and obstacles in performing religious duty of the followers of the church.
Even they misinterpreting the order passed against their writ appeal (6844,dated 30 June 2o19) by the High Court declared as ‘disposed of’ ( 30 July, 2019) often defying the observation of the court continued misdeeds and trying to grab three acres of land of the church, the community leaders alleged.
The miscreants attacked and assaulted the church officials and missionaries trespassing inside the church compound on August 15, 2019.
In different times the activities of the miscreants were alleged to the high officials of law enforcing agencies, administration and a general diary was lodged with Wazirpur police station, but the rights to perform religious activities peacefully and undisturbed and save the properties of the church and community people, yet not ensured, the community leaders alleged.
 However comments of the accused community members could not be collected as attempt to contact with them over mobile phone was failed.
