Call for nurturing literature to build better society

Literary personalities at a book publication festival have laid importance on nurturing literature and healthy culture to build a better society habitable for the future generation.
They also stressed on the need for adding newer dimensions to the writings taking consideration of the present situation, future vision and perspectives of changing time while producing literary works to nurture those for spreading light in darkness.
Rangpur Shahitya-Sangskriti Parishad (RSSP) organised the festival to publish a book titled ‘ Maanmaya Tanmoy’, a collection of essays, at Town Hall auditorium in Rangpur on Monday night.
Noted literary personality, researcher and former Head of the Department of Bengali of Rangpur Carmichael College Prof. Muhammad Alim Uddin has written the book.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rupali Bank Ltd and Member of Dhaka University Senate Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan was present as the chief guest.
With RSSP President Aftab Hossain in the chair, noted writer Md Abu Bakar Siddique attended the function as special guest.
Convener of the book publication festival and former Head of the Department of Bengali of Rangpur Begum Rokeya Government College Prof. Md Shah Alam delivered welcome speech.
