A seminar in New York emphasized that expatriate Bangladeshis in USA invest more in Bangladesh to help make it a middle-income country by 2021 and attain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
Highlighting the prospects of making investment in Bangladesh, speakers at the business seminar on the sidelines of the 74th UNGA session also stressed the need for thinking about merit-based remittance apart from the existing remittance flow.
The seminar on ‘US-Bangladesh Trade and Investment: Role of Bangladeshi Americans’ was jointly organized by the America Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Centre for NRB at the hall room of LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in New York on September 26 (New York time), said.
