The authorities of the Customs Intelligence seized illegally imported liquor and unauthorised electronics devices, including walkie-talkies, from a Kadamtali restaurant in the capital.
They carried out a raid on Thursday night at Irish Pub and Restaurant of Kadamtali and seized 4,433 bottles and cans of liquor worth, 1,665 litres, and 65 walkie-talkies.
Briefing to media on Friday, Customs Intelligence director general Abdur Rouf said that they had a tip-off about the caches of unauthorised electronic devices in the restaurant.
A team of the Customs Intelligence raided there and seized those, the DG said.
The restaurant authorities could not show any valid documents of importing liquor, he said.
A case was under process to be lodged against the restaurant authorities.
