The Cabinet on Monday reformed the previous committee to finalise the 9th wage board award for journalists.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will head the Cabinet Committee. The other members are Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khaled and State Minister for Labour Begum Munnujan Sufian.

Asaduzzman Noor led the last Cabinet Committee while other members were Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and State Minister for Labour Mujibul Haque Chunnu.
The Information Ministry will help the committee with Secretarial assistance, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam in a briefing on Monday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting in the Prime Minister’s Office.
The committee has been asked to submit their report by January 28 as per the previous schedule. However, time may be extended if the committee needs, the Cabinet Secretary said.
