CAB urges AL, BNP alliances to sit for dialogue

Consumers Association of Bangladesh(CAB) ,Chittagong chapter called upon the AL-led 14 party and the BNP-led 20 party alliances to sit for a dialogue to resolve existing political crisis.
In a written press statement CAB called upon this clarion call to the leaders of the major two alliances.
The statement was told that the total 16 crores population of the country are suffering from the outcome of the blockade and hartal programs and the common men are the worst sufferers of their counter political programs.
CAB leaders in the statement said the businessmen are getting advantages from the bank relating to exempting interests and other compensations but the consumers are not getting any advantages from govt side during political programs like hartal and blockade.
The CAB leaders urged the oppositions to keep the education life, medicare services, and supply of consumers items out of the purview of hartal.
The leaders also condemn the attack on journalists during their discharing duties by the picketers and the police forces. Central committee member and ISDE President SM Nazer Hossain, divisional secretary of CAB Iqbal Bahar Sabery, President Jesmin Sultana Paru, General Secreatry Ajoy Mitra Shanku, CAB leader Journalist Nasirul Hoque signed the statement .
220- cubic feet smuggled timbers seized
Members of the Forest Department (FD) in a drive seized 220 cubic feet smuggled timbers from Banglapara village under Fatikchari upazila in the district last night.
A special team of FD on secret information in cooperation with Border Guard Bangladesh raided at Banglapara village under Fatikchari upazila in the district and seized the smuggled timber worth about Tk eight lakhs.
