Consumers Association of Bangladesh(CAB), chittagong divisional and city unit expressed concern over the increase of bakery products price by 20-25%.
In a statement of the association demanded immediate suspension of the hiked price considering the buying capacity of the common people and asked the bakery owners to take necessary permission from the concerned authority regarding price increase.
The CAB statement was old that the consumers of bakery products are the common consumers of middle and lower income families who have limited income .
These consumers became annoyed over the overnight increase of the products of bakery. Central member of CAB Nazer Hossain, Divisional general secretary of CAB Kazi Iqbal Bahar Sabery, CAB city unit President Jesmin sultana Paru, General secretary Ajoy Mitra, President of south district unit Abdul Mannan signed the statement , sources said.
