CAB demands leather industry from syndicate trading

Consumers Association of Bangladesh, Chattagong Chapter demanded to save the leather industry from the hands of syndicate traders. The demand of saving leather industry placed before the emergency meeting of CAB, Chattogram held at its office on Saturday and demanded strong actions against the persons allegedly involved with the crisis of the present situation on rawhides across the country.
 The speakers in the meet said govt has arranged for lending loans to the tannery owners and rawhide traders to procure rawhides but following the govt decision of exporting rawhide export by public sector, the rawhide traders played this heinous role which caused a great loss to the country . They also said madrasas and orphan houses always procure hides during Eidul Azha from the persons concerned as one of the income source but this season these poor orphan houses faced huge losses and barred from their income sources.
Vice President of central committee of CAB SM Nazer Hossain presided over it .
 Among others General Secretary of CAB, Chattogram Chapter Iqbal Bahar Saberi, South District President Abdul Mannan, Joint Secretary Towhidul Islam and Md Jane Alam were present on the occasion.
