The Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) organised Airport Emergency Exercise at Shah Amanat International Airport in the city yesterday.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, MP attended the exercise as the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the function Menon said the main objective of the exercise was to enhance and improve the skill and awareness among all concerned personnel at the time of emergency like bomb threat, fire and air crash.
Chairman of CAAB Air Vice Marshal M Sanaul Haque attended the exercise as the special guest.
Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence, Bomb Disposal Units of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Navy, Bomb Squad of RAB, fire rescue vehicles and personnel of Bangladesh Army and Air Force, representatives of Biman and other airlines.
