Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) has banned carrying Samsung Galaxy Note-7 in aircraft following reports that the device caught fire in different places across the world.
A safety circular signed by Director (Flight Safety and Regulations) of the CAAB Wing Comannder Chy Md Zia Ul Kabir has already been sent to heads of all airlines based in the country.
“You are directed to ensure that no passenger is allowed to board an aircraft with Samsung Galaxy Note-7, as carry-on and / or checked luggage,” the safety circular, which was issued on October 17, said.
“You are also requested to inform passengers about this prohibition while selling ticket,” the safety circular said adding that this circular will come into effect immediately.
