Chittagong Reporters’ Unity (CRU) arranged a discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil in Islamabadi Hall at Charagi Pahar on Monday.
Mainuddin Kaderi Sawkat, President, Sangbadik Housing Society joined the discussion meeting as Chief Guest.
President of the CRU Kiron Sarma Presided the meeting .The chief guest said that the journalists can change the society and strength the democracy through their write-up. He also urged the reporters to be sincere and devotee to their professional work.
City corporation Ward Councilor of Ward No.3 Alhaj Safiqul Islam, Chairman of Dubai International Properties Ltd SM Shohidullah Rony,General Secretary of Probashi Kallyan Sangstha Lion Shofiul Alam were present as special guest.
Among others, spoke in the meeting Vice-President Arifur Rahman Hasnain , General Secretary Didar Asrafi, Joint Secretary Alamgir Noor, Finance Secretary Nazrul Islam,Organizing Secretary Aminul hoque shahin,Publicity Secretary Riazur rahman Riaz, Woman Affairs Secretary Nasrin Sultana, Columnist Nazimuddin Chowdhury , Public Relation officer of Chittagong City Corporation Abdur Rahim, and journalist Osman Jahangir. Later, a Munajat was offered for the welfare of Muslim Ummah and people of Palestine for their safe during the Holy month of Ramadan.
