The Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association (BWSA) expressed deep shock at the death of its former vice president and national sports awardees Dolly Catharine Cruse, who breathed her last this morning at her residence Tejturi Bazar in the capital, said a BWSA press release.
She was 72.
Catharine, who was reputed woman player and won more than fifty gold medals in provincial and national phase competitions during her illustrate carrier from 1956 to 1990, was a recognized as gold medal achiever.
The body of Catharine was taken at Sultana Kamal BWSA premise where numerous well wishers paid last respect to her.
The BWSA president Rafia Akter Dolly, BWSA general secretary Kamrun Nahar Dana and all BWSA members expressed deep shock and prayed salvation or the departed soul.
