Engineer AM Aminul Haque has been appointed as new Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), said press release.
He joined the post on February 13. Prior to joining the current post, he served as Additional Director General (Planning) of the Board.
He graduated BSc-in-Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1983 and completed his MSc degree in Hydraulic and Costal Engineering from Asian Institute Technology (AIT) in Bangkok in 1991.
He joined the BWDB as Assistant Engineer in 1984. During his long service life, he acted efficiently in BWDB’s planning department, design department, various field level offices and projects.
He also participated in various seminars and training at home and abroad, including USA, Uk , Canada, Netherland, Australia, China, Shrilangka, Thailand and Malaysia. He was born in a Muslim family in Sirajganj district in 1962.
