MA Mannan, founding chairman of Butterfly Group, passed away on Wednesday morning.
He breathed his last at his residence in the capital at about 4:45am.
His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Wednesday at the Gulshan Azad Mosque while the second Namaz-e-Janaza at his village home at the school ground of Satkhamair in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district after Asr prayers, said a press release.
Mannan left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
Mannan was more than a businessman, he was known for his inspiring persona, his social activism and as a trailblazer in his field. He is one of the pioneers responsible for the monumental growth of the electronic industry in Bangladesh.
His legacy lives on in his wife, two sons, a daughter and countless well-wishers.
