Businessman stabbed to death in city

A business owner was stabbed to death by an employee in the capital’s Mugda around 12 pm on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Judge Mia alias Al Amin, 25. He had a flexiload and a laundry shops at Mugda.
Mugda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Paloy Kumar Saha confirmed the murder to the media.
He said local caught the murderers when they tried to flee the spot.
The people handed the accused and his brother to the police.
The detained are identified as Jubayer (18) and his
brother Shakil (21) from Kishoreganj. Both were the employees of the deceased, OC added.
Mugda Police Station Sub-Inspector Shoyeb Khan said, Alamin along with his wife Kalpana and younger brother Hossain used to live on the fifth floor of a building.
When the accused duo entered the house, Kalpana and Hossain took shelter inside the toilet.
Locals rushed there hearing screams for help and caught the two, the police officer said. According to the OC Paloy Kumar Saha, accused Zubair claimed that businessman Judge Mia used to scold him unnecessarily always. The Zubair’s statement is being investigated.
Police are suspecting that the murder was the result of a row in the village or in the shop. Police will try to discover whether there is any other reason behind the murder.
Earlier the body of Judge Mia was recovered from a rented house on the fifth floor of Sardar Lane No. 124 / A in Uttar Mugda around 12 pm on Friday.
After the legal process, the deceased’s body was sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. There are marks of deep wounds in the neck and different parts of the body, police added.
