A businessman sustained bullet injuries by some unidentified miscreants in broad day-light in the city’s Eskaton on Monday morning.
Injured Anwar Hossein, 55, the President of Bangladesh Medical Device Association, was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Anwar was going to work from his Eskaton residence when three to four miscreants shot at his private car, said Mashiur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramna Police Station.
The bullet first hit the window of the car then hit him in his left ribs, the OC added.
Maruf Hossain Sardar, Deputy Commissioner (Ramna Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. said, “It is not an incident of mugging. They might have shot him based on prior enmity. We are investigating the incident.”
The members of law enforcing agencies are trying to arrest the miscreants, the police official said.
