Our Correspondent :A businessman and his spouse were slaughtered to death by unidentified miscreants inside their three-storied residence in Moddhya Bazar area of Durgapur upazila town in Netrakona district in any time after. Police and local people said, the deceased identified as Arun Kumar Shaha,70, was the owner of the Suborna Cloth Store in the Durgapur town. Arun’s wife Hena Rani Shaha, 65, has also been killed at the same time.Both the dead bodies bore with several stab injury marks. On receiving information, a police team from Durgapur police station rushed to the residence this noon and recovered the two dead bodies from the second floor of the house. The police sent the dead bodies to Netrakona Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the Officer-in-Charge of Durgapur police station Rezaul Islam said adding that the actual motive for the murders could not be ascertained immediately, but police started vigorous investigation to unearth the actual clue of the incident and to arrest the murderers.Meanwhile, local MP Chhawbi Biswas and Superintendent of Police (SP) Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhury visited the residence. The SP also talked to the local people and instructed the local police officers to capture the killers as soon as possible.
