A mobile court here on Wednesday fined Tk one lakh to a sand businessman for piling up sand on the both sides of Dhaka-Bogra highway at Nalka Bridge in Raiganj upazila.
A mobile court led by Raiganj UNO and Executive Magistrate Iqbal Akter conducted a drive in the area and fined TK one lakh to Emdadul of Panchlia village for pilling up sand on the both sides of the highway, causing sufferings to the commuters.
Besides, the court also seized 7.27 lakh cubic feet of sand and handed over the seized sand in custody of the Nalka UP Chairman Abdul Jabbar..
