Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested a businessman and his employee for siphoning off 18 thousand US dollars abroad from Agrabad Commercial area at about 2pm on Tuesday.
Aziz Bhuiyan, director of ACC, Chittagong divisional officer, said an ACC team arrested the businessman Abdul Awal, owner of C&F firm Cargo Mover Crackers and his manager Abul Kashem, for siphoning off 18 thousand US dollars.
Earlier, a case was filed with Bandar thana on April 23 in 2015 in this connection, he said adding that the detained persons would be handed over to the court this afternoon.
