Campus Report :
One of the highlights of a 3-day Business Week Celebration of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was a seminar with Rubana Huq, Managing Director, Mohammad Group as the distinguished guest speaker held on Wednesday at the AIUB Auditorium. Huq has evoked the interest of the students as future professionals who will carve the promise of tomorrow for Bangladesh. Her inspiring words of wisdom have stimulated the students to face the challenge of the future. Making herself as a model, going through the rigor of life as a mother, businesswoman, executive, educator, advocator, activist in promoting the welfare of women through empowerment made the promise of tomorrow more understanding and sustainable. She attributed her sustained success and fulfillment in life through the struggles she has gone through. Having a strong faith made her also a strong woman playing various and challenging roles.
The presence of the Vice Chancellor, Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, another successful woman in pioneering what AIUB now since it was established 20 yeas ago added more inspiration to the students and the audience as a whole. Both of them have enlightened the students and cited experiences, which are promises of a sustainable tomorrow. They truly give meaning and justice to the topic of the seminar.
