A business man was killed and 25 others injured in a clash between two sides in Kuliarchar of Kishoreganj on Monday evening over buying shoes.
The victim was identified as Sujon Miah (20), son of Hisad Miah at East Galikata village in Kuliarchar upazila.
Earlier on Saturday evening, a man named Robin Mia had an argument with Monir Hossain of Monir shop over the prices. . At one point, Monir and Robin’s family members clashed. Till Monday evening , there have been clashes between the people of the two sides.
At least 25 people from both sides have been injured including 3 cops in the incident so far.
Besides 4 buses, 15 shops and some houses were vandalized.
The local and Police sources, Robin went to Monir Hossain’s shop in Kuliarchar Bazaar on Saturday evening to buy shoes. At that time the price of Monir’s shoes was taka 700 In contrast, Robin said the price tk. 400 . At one stage, there was a quarrel between the two about the price.
At one stage, around 8 pm, the people of Robin and Monir’s house got involved in a clash with da, spear and stick.
