Bus operators will begin selling advance tickets for long distant Eid-ul-Azha trips from Wednesday.
Tickets for various routes in the northern and southern regions of the country will be available from the day. Following health guidelines, tickets can be bought from counters.
Besides, online ticket selling will start from Tuesday night. If it not done, it will be done from Wednesday.
Ticket selling will start on the basis of “First Come First Served.”
The government issued a notification on Tuesday relaxing the ongoing restrictions for containing coronavirus transmission for nine days from Thursday. However, the notification did not clarify to what extent it would be relaxed, but people will have to remain cautious and follow all health guidelines including wearing masks.
Following the issuance of notification, preparations are going on to run long distant buses and trains.
Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association president Faruque Talukder Sohel has said selling advance bus tickets will start from Wednesday.
Besides, initiatives are going on to sell bus tickets online.
