A Dhaka court granted bail to Junayed Hossain Laskar, the owner of SP Golden Line bus which killed a man in the capital’s Moghbazar area.
Magistrate Fahad Bin Amin Chowdhury of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order on Wednesday.
The court, however, rejected bail plea of the bus driver Imran Sardar.
Junayed’s lawyer told the court during hearing that Junayed is fly to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. His flight is set to take off on August 10. In the circumstances, he is seeking bail in the case, the lawyer added.
Though the General Registrar Officer (GRO) of the police station concerned opposed the bail plea, the court granted bail and rejected driver’s bail plea.
