A court here on Wednesday placed Monayem, brother of the prime accused of Burdwan blast case in India Sheikh Rahmatullha alias Sajid, on a two-day remand in connection with a case.
Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Mahiuddin, passed the order when police produced Monayem before the court and sought a seven-day remand.
Earlier, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Monayem alias Maoir Hossain alias Mona from Farajikanda in Narayanganj on Tuesday.
Later, he was shown arrest in a case and handed over to Bandar Police Station, said Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station.
During interrogation, Mona said he had no connection with his younger brother Masum during the last 10 years.
