The first maritime university of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) regarding cooperation in the field of education and research, a press release said.
Vice-Chancellor of BSMRMU Rear Admiral ASM Abdul Baten and Vice-Chancellor of BUP Major General Sheikh Mamun Khaled signed the MoU on behalf of each university on Tuesday at the auditorium of BSMRMU. Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUP Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah and Treasurer of BSMRMU Commodore ANM Rezaul Huq along with other high officials of the universities were present at the MoU signing ceremony. Both the parties pledged to cooperate each other, especially in the field of maritime education and research and to contribute to develop the country as well.
