The bullish trend returned to Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday after a day’s break on the previous trading session.
Dhaka stocks fell Monday to break the uptrend that continued for consecutive nine trading sessions since September 16. DSEX, the benchmark price index, however, regained the strength to close Tuesday 23.96 points higher at 5074.30. The blue-chip DS30 also gained marginally to go up to 1960.87.
“Market passed a shining day as investors showed their appetite once again for high yielding stocks,” said Lanka Bangla Securities in its daily update for stock market.
The rise in the general and the blue-chip indices was driven by large-cap concentration of investors.
