The bullet-hit body of an unidentified woman was found in the city’s Gulshan-2 area early Saturday.
The woman aged around, 35, wearing salwar and kameez could not be identified immediately, said Dr Sohel Mahmud, the Head of the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Two bullets were found in her body, the doctor said.
Police recovered the body from the Road No. 43 of Gulshan-2 at about 2:00 am, said Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Gulshan Zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy, the police official said.
The video footages collected from the nearby CCTV cameras is being analysed, he said.
An unnatural death case has been filed with the Gulshan Police Station in this connection.
