UNB, Faridpur :
Police recovered bullet-hit body of a convicted top terrorist from Piyarpur area near Bypass Road of the district town early Sunday.
The deceased was identified Afzal Hossain Shahin alias Hatkata Shahin, a fugitive convicted top terrorist of the district and resident of Kamalapur Battala area. Additional Superintendent of Police Kamruzzaman of Faridpur said on secret information about a gunfight between two terrorist groups, a team of police conducted a drive in the area early in the morning.
For their self defence the law enforcers opened fire in the air. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the criminals fled away. Later police rescued Shahin in a critically injured condition.
