Newly appointed Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc on Wednesday said it is a challenge for the country to build skilled manpower and create more employment opportunities for them abroad. “It’s a real challenge to build skilled manpower and create more overseas jobs,” Nurul Islam BSc told UNB. Nurul Islam, also a Chittagong AL leader and a former MP, said human trafficking would be checked through coordinated efforts along with other ministries as well as creating public awareness. He said his ministry will work for people’s welfare and make sure people do not face any harassment in availing themselves of any service of the ministry.
The minister also sought cooperation from all in discharging his duty.
