BUET wants to contribute to Fourth Industrial Revolution

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) wants to contribute to the overall development of the country and tackle the Fourth Industrial Revolution by sharing the data obtained from the research with various government and non-government organizations. As part of this, BUET organized a seminar on “Fourth Industrial Revolution: The Role of Academia and Industry in Bangladesh”.
The seminar organized by Research and Innovation Center for Science and Engineering (RISE), BUET was held on Monday morning in the conference room of IICT of the University. Prof. Dr. Saifur Rahman, the Joseph Loring Professor & Director of Virginia Tech Advanced Research Institute, USA delivered the keynote presentation in the seminar.
Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor of BUET presided over the session while Jashim Uddin, the President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) embellished the Chief Guest in ceremony. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, was present as the Special Guest. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Matin, the Managing Director of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL), was present as the Guest of Honour of the Ceremony.
In addition, the moderator of the seminar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anisuzzaman Talukder, Director, Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE), many distinguished scholars and dignitaries from Academia, Industry and Government from home and abroad also participated among others in the seminar.
