A three-member team of experts from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) recently visited Awoliarghat for site selection for constructing a bridge across the Karatoa river under Boda upazila of Panchagarh district.
Sources concerned said Local Government Engineering Department will construct the proposed 600-meter long and 18-meter wide bridge at a cost of Taka 100 crore.
The BUET team comprised Professor Dr. Shahjahan Mandol, Professor Dr. G.M.
Torikul Islam and Professor Dr. Sujit Kumar Bala.
Lawmaker Advocate Nurul Islam Sujon has been putting in his best efforts
for the last couple of years for building the bridge at Awoliarghat for
convenient of the local people.
