A student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) was crushed under the wheels of a speeding train at Moghbazar in the city on Wednesday morning.The deceased was identified as Tanveer Gawher Tapu, 23, son of Ali Gawhar, a resident of Moghbazar. He was a 3rd year student of Civil Engineering of BUET.Witnesses said Tanveer was crushed under the train while he was crossing Moghbazar level crossing around 11am, leaving him severely injured.Later, he was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Assistant Sub-inspector Sentu Chandra Das, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
