BUET preliminary selection test held for admission

The preliminary Admission Test 2020-21 academic year for the undergraduate level students’ of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) was held on 20 & 21 October 2021at BUET campus.
Due to Corona, this preliminary examination will be taken in four shifts in two days. On the first day, the first shift examination was held from 10 am to 11 am and the second shift examination was held from 3 pm to 4 pm on Wednesday.
The third shift examination was held on Thursday from 10 am to 11 am and the fourth shift examination was held from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Due to the global epidemic related to Covid-19, the admission test of BUET will be held in two stages through pre-selection and main admission test in accordance with the health rules. Candidates selected on the basis of merit from every shift in the pre-selection examination will be given the opportunity to participate in the main admission test on November 6, 2021.The main admission test will be held in written for 2 hours.
Students will be admitted in 12 departments under the faculties of Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Architecture & Planning in the 2020-2021 academic year.
In this year’s admission test, the total number of candidates is 18,008 as against the total 1215 seats including 4 reserved seats. Among these 12,315 are male students and 5,690 are female students. Preliminary examinations are being conducted mainly through MCQ.The results of preliminary examination may be published on October 28, 2021.
