As part of the program, The National Flag was hoisted at all the central buildings of the university at the beginning of the day on Friday March 26, 2021.
On this occasion Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Honourable Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) paid rich tributes to the Heroic Martyrs of the Liberation War in 1971 by placing wreaths at the Liberation War Memorial and Portrait of Bangabandhu at BUET premises on Friday 26 March, 2021 at 9:00 am marking the Golden Jubilee of Independence and National Day.
Among others: Deans of different Faculties, Head of the Departments, Registrar, Director of Student Welfare, Heads of Offices /Institutes /Centers, Provosts and Assistant Provosts, Teachers, Officers and Staff were also present on the occasion.
A virtual discussion meeting will be held with the participation of respected teachers of BUET on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee and National Day of Independence at 7:00 pm on Friday today. Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of BUET will participate in the discussion as Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET will participate as Special Guest, Prominent journalist Mr. Ajay Das Gupta will participate as Chief Negotiator, Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students’ Welfare will conduct the program.
It is noted that lighting arrangements have been made in all the important buildings of BUET on the occasion.
