Budget session to begin June 3

The new government’s first budget session and the second session of the 10th Parliament will begin on June 3.
President Abdul Hamid Advocate on Sunday convened the budget session which will begin at 5:00 pm on that day, said a Parliament Secretariat press release.Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith is expected to present the
national budget proposal for fiscal 2014-15 on June 5. The budget proposal may be passed on June 30, said the sources.
AMA Muhith, who is serving his second term as Finance Minister for the Awami League-led government, said that he would chart down financial plans for the coming five years.
The 10th Parliament began its journey on January 29, following the January-5 one-sided election, which was boycotted by the BNP and its alliance partners.
The maiden session of the current Parliament started on January 29 and ended on April 10.
As per the Constitution, the President has to convene the Parliament session within 60 days of the previous session.
