UNB, Dhaka :The budget session, the second of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (JS), began on Monday afternoon with Speaker DrShirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.President Abdul Hamid summoned the sixth session of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on May 11 exercising the power bestowed upon him as per the Article 72(1) of the Constitution.Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place the national budget for fiscal 2015-16 on June 4.Muhith at different pre-budget discussions said the size of the upcoming national budget will be around Tk 3,00,000 crore (Tk 3 trillion). The size of the outgoing fiscal’s budget is Tk 2,50, 506 crore while that of the previous one Tk 2,22,491 crore. The 5th session of the 10th Parliament began on January 19, 2015 and was prorogued on April 2 after 39 sittings that passed eight bills. The 10th parliament went into its maiden session on January 29, 2014.
